project info
The goal is to provide an immersive parkour experience where the player can perform advanced moves like slides, wallruns, grappling, and vaults. The prototype is a sandbox for testing movement mechanics and experimenting with different gameplay elements, but also with a playable story mode.
what i learned
A solo first-person parkour prototype focused on responsive, physics-based movement. I built the entire system from scratch in Unity, extending a basic controller into advanced features like crouching, slide jumps, wallruns with jump transitions, and a grappling gun for dynamic traversal. I designed a full testing gym using proper grayboxing, metrics, and level design principles to iterate and refine the movement feel. The game includes VFX feedback, traps, moving platforms, post-processing, and breakable objects, with ongoing development of enemy AI and sound design. This project represents my deep dive into core mechanics, player experience, and technical systems, continually evolving as a hands-on learning platform.
